Additional Acting Tips:
One of the best ways to develop your acting skills is by auditioning as much as possible. The more experience and knowledge you obtain, the better your performances will be!
When performing multiple takes (a short scene, captured on film or video), know the difference between “acting” and “action”. Acting portrays the character you play, while Action involves body movement and props. Subtle acting is okay, but keep the actions exactly the same.
When “playing to the camera” keep these ideas in mind: Know where the camera (or cameras) is at all times; know what the camera is capturing (long shot, close ups, etc.); know where the other actors and props are, in relation to the camera’ set up.
Be in “character” before the director says “Action!” Be in character and position, ready to act. Always remain in character! If you or someone else coughs/sneezes, remain in character…regardless of distractions.
Success in Acting comes from determination, dedication, persistence and perseverance.

What You Need to Succeed
Most importantly, you will need two main skills:
- A certain amount of acting talent (not necessarily a lot).
- The knowledge of marketing yourself.
